Nepal’s newly appointed Interim Prime Minister, Sushila Karki, will formally assume office today, with plans to announce a cabinet expansion and portfolio distribution. According to sources, Karki will form a small cabinet after discussions with Gen Z representatives and will reportedly hold key ministries including Home, Foreign Affairs, and Defence. The new ministers are also expected to take their oaths today. Speaking in Manipur, PM Modi congratulated the former Chief Justice on her appointment. He expressed confidence that she would lead the nation towards stability, stating, "I am confident that she will pave the way for peace, stability and prosperity in Nepal." PM Modi also extended congratulations on behalf of the people of India and praised protesters for upholding democratic values.
