A second round of talks is underway in Nepal between a ‘Gen Z’ delegation and the Army to discuss the formation of an interim government. Former Chief Justice Sushila Karki has emerged as the frontrunner to lead this transitional government. A meeting is scheduled between the Army Chief, Ashok Raj Sigdal, and Sushila Karki, after which they may meet President Ramchandra Parul. Discussions are focused on establishing a roadmap, including the tenure of the interim government and addressing corruption allegations against the political elite. A key demand from the youth is that "the army should only be restricted to the issues of safety. Security and law and order in Nepal across Nepal and should not interfere in the democratic processes of Nepal." The talks are taking place at the army headquarters, as reported from Kathmandu.
