Nepal’s political situation remains in limbo following the resignation of Prime Minister KP Oli after days of violent protests. A ‘Genzi’ group, Hami Nepali Sanstha, led by Sudan Gurung, has threatened to surround the Rashtrapati Bhavan, targeting the President and the Army Chief. The group has two primary demands: the appointment of former Chief Justice Sushila Karki as the interim Prime Minister and the immediate dissolution of the Parliament. In a video, Sudan Gurung stated, "20 people have lost their lives. 10-20 more will lose their lives. I will shoot them myself. I am ready to be shot myself." While political parties have reportedly reached a consensus on appointing Karki to lead an interim government, they remain opposed to dissolving the Parliament, thereby deepening the ongoing crisis.
