India’s Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has responded by welcoming the formation of the new government. The MEA stated it is hopeful that the government would help in fostering peace and bringing about stability in the neighbouring country. Highlighting the bilateral relationship, a statement from the ministry affirmed that India will be "closely working for prosperity of Nepal." This development is being closely monitored as India considers Nepal a very important partner and essential for peace in the region. A conversation between the prime ministers of the two nations is expected to happen soon.
