This election is all about Vikas, Mahila and Yuva. But 150 kms from Gaya are villages where Vikas has not even touch their boundaries. NDTV travels to Bihar’s Gaya district, in one of the three villages Pathra, Herhanj and Kewaldih which are cut off from the rest of the world for nearly eight months every year. No bridge. No road. And no help. As Bihar goes to polls, these villagers are still waiting for the promises made every election season…promises that never cross the Morhar River. For 77 years, people here have been demanding a bridge but even today, they have to cross chest-deep water to reach hospitals, schools or markets.
