The NDA has called for a statewide bandh in Bihar to protest against abusive language allegedly used for the Prime Minister and his mother from the stage of Rahul Gandhi’s yatra. The five-hour shutdown is scheduled from 7 a.m. to 12 noon, with essential services remaining unaffected. The protest is being led by the BJP Mahila Morcha. In response, Bihar’s Leader of Opposition, Tejashwi Yadav, stated the BJP is "rattled by the success of the voter adhikari yatra" and accused the Prime Minister of hypocrisy. The Prime Minister had previously addressed the issue, stating, "his dead mother was abused from the RJD Congress stage, which is an insult to the nation’s mothers and daughters."
