On Super 6, the focus is on the intensifying battle for the Vice President’s post. The NDA has announced CP Radhakrishnan, a BJP veteran from Tamil Nadu, as its candidate. Radhakrishnan, with a long career in the Tamil Nadu BJP and ties to the RSS, has served as a two-time MP from Coimbatore and currently holds the position of Maharashtra Governor, having also governed Jharkhand and Telangana. This nomination is seen as significant messaging by the BJP, coming months before the Tamil Nadu elections. The India bloc, particularly the DMK, is now pushing for a candidate from Tamil Nadu to counter the NDA’s move, with Mylasami Anandurai and Thiruchi Siva being considered. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has contacted opposition leaders, including Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, YSRCP chief Jagan Reddy, and BJD chief Naveen Patnaik, to seek support.
