On this Special Report, Sunilji Bhatt provides details on the solemn wreath-laying ceremony held for 10 Indian Army personnel who lost their lives in a tragic road accident in Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda district. The incident occurred when an armoured vehicle plunged into a deep gorge at Khaneetop along the Bhaderwah-Chamba Interstate Road. Sunilji Bhatt notes, ‘GOC of White Knight Corps Lieutenant General PK Mishra laid wreaths on the mortal remains of the 10 army personnel who lost their lives while they were carrying out the patrolling.’ The ceremony, held at the Air Force Station in Jammu, saw attendance from top officials of the Jammu and Kashmir Police and paramilitary forces, with tributes also offered on behalf of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha. While 10 soldiers were killed, 11 others sustained injuries in the mishap. The mortal remains have been dispatched to the respective hometowns of the jawans for last rites with full military honours.
