NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) has identified LHS 475 b, an exoplanet nearly identical in size to Earth, located 41 light-years away in the constellation Octans. This rocky planet completes an orbit around its red dwarf star every two days and is a few hundred degrees warmer than Earth. While researchers have ruled out a thick methane-dominated atmosphere, the presence of a pure carbon dioxide atmosphere remains possible.
