Nasa astronaut Chris Williams, and Roscosmos cosmonauts Sergey Kud-Sverchkov and Sergei Mikaev lifted off to the International Space Station on Thanksgiving Day. Launched aboard the Russian space agency’s Soyuz MS-28 spacecraft from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan at 2:57 pm IST, the trio will join the Expedition 73 crew on the orbiting laboratory, and help advance scientific research.
With their entry, the population on the ISS will temporarily increase from seven to 10.
