Riots in Nagpur were allegedly triggered by the Minorities Democratic Party (MDP). Fahim Khan, identified as the mastermind, mobilized a mob outside a police station, chanting pro-Aurangzeb slogans. The violence followed a BJP and Bajrang Dal demonstration. Police are investigating social media accounts for spreading misinformation. A curfew has been imposed in sensitive areas for 48 hours.
