Nagpur Police Commissioner Dr. Ravinder Singal has assured that the situation in the city is currently under control following a violent incident that occurred around 8-8:30 pm. The violence was sparked after a photo was burned, leading to a gathering of people who later made a request to the authorities. Dr. Singal confirmed that an FIR has been filed based on the names provided, and action will be taken against those responsible. While two vehicles were reportedly torched and stone-pelting took place, the situation remains under control. The police are conducting combing operations to identify and arrest the perpetrators. In light of the unrest, Section 144 has been imposed in the affected area, restricting unnecessary movement and urging the public to avoid taking the law into their own hands. The rest of the city remains peaceful, with authorities urging citizens not to believe rumors.
