A powerful 7.7 magnitude earthquake has struck Myanmar, causing widespread damage and casualties. At least 20 people are reported dead in Mandalay and 5 in Taungoo. The quake, with a shallow depth of 10 kilometers, was also felt strongly in Thailand, causing panic and evacuation of buildings in Bangkok.
