A tanker overturned on the Mumbai–Pune highway in the Urse Maval area, causing a huge traffic jam.
Many travelers were stuck for hours. A local resident said that people were being sent ahead after paying toll, only to get trapped in traffic. He also said there was no proper information from police and no officers present to divert traffic.
The incident caused major trouble for commuters between Pune and Mumbai.
