The Mumbai Crime Branch has issued a lookout circular (LOC) against Hari Chandra, also known as Hari Boxer, a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. This development follows a threatening voice note sent to a prominent Bollywood actor’s manager, demanding a ransom of 20 crore rupees. The voice note, which has been sent to Punjab and Haryana for forensic verification, features the sender identifying himself as Hari Boxer. The investigation highlights a concerning spike in threats and attacks targeting film industry figures, including recent incidents involving directors and other actors. Authorities have alerted all airports and ports to prevent the suspect from leaving the country, although officials suspect he may already be abroad. The gang’s influence appears to be expanding into Maharashtra, specifically targeting the lucrative Bollywood sector through extortion and intimidation tactics. This case is part of a broader pattern of gang-related threats that have recently affected several high-profile celebrities both in India and overseas.
