After being appointed Mumbai BJP president, Ameet Satam thanked the party leadership and pledged to connect with every Mumbaikar by showcasing the development work since 2014. Confident of a Mahayuti win in the upcoming civic polls, Satam hit out at the Shiv Sena (UBT) for “visionless” BMC governance and accused rivals of aligning with anti-national elements to “change the colour of Mumbai.” He dismissed reports of discord within the Mahayuti, calling them an opposition-driven narrative. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and state president Ravindra Chavan backed Satam’s elevation, highlighting his organisational experience, repeated electoral wins, and grasp of Mumbai’s issues. They described him as an “educated and aggressive” leader under whom the BJP is confident of creating a new record in the city.
