Mumbai’s much-awaited Metro Line 3 — the city’s first underground metro — is now fully operational after Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated its final phase from Acharya Atre Chowk to Cuffe Parade. The 33.5 km Colaba–Bandra–SEEPZ line connects key business, government, and transport hubs across South and North Mumbai. Built at a cost of ₹38,000 crore, the metro promises seamless last-mile connectivity linking areas like Fort, Nariman Point, and Kalbadevi to the rest of the city.
