Continuous heavy rainfall for over 15 hours has severely impacted Mumbai, causing widespread waterlogging on streets and railway tracks. At Matunga railway station on the Western Railway, local trains are experiencing significant delays. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for the city and the surrounding MMR region. Residents and commuters are facing extreme difficulties, with some reporting flooded homes and drastically increased travel times. One commuter stated, "Normally it takes around 40 minutes. Today it will take somewhere around 1 hour 1 hour 15 minutes approx." BMC officials are working to clear the water, but open drains pose a significant risk. The situation may worsen with an impending high tide. #mumbairains #mumbaifloods #waterlogging #itwebvideos #mumbaimonsoon #redalert #localtrains #mumbaiweather #bmc #imd #citylife #heavyrainfall #commuters #matunga #indiatoday #currentaffairs
