A major blow has been dealt to Naxalism with the elimination of Madvi Hidma, one of India’s most wanted Maoist commanders, in a multi-state operation at the tri-junction of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Chhattisgarh. Security forces neutralized Hidma, his wife Raje, and six others, just 12 days before a deadline reportedly set by Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Union Home Minister Amit Shah stated, ‘ekatis teen though hazar chhabbis ko pure desh se naxalvad ko hum samapt kar denge samapt’.
