Meanwhile, in a dramatic shift, U.S. President Donald Trump has warned Vladimir Putin to end the Ukraine war within 50 days or face “100 per cent sanctions.” Trump also reportedly urged Ukraine to target Moscow and St. Petersburg directly, signaling a more aggressive stance.
The former U.S. president has now backed a NATO-led aid package for Ukraine, despite long opposing U.S. military entanglements. His July 4 phone call with Zelenskyy, leaked via FT, revealed Trump asked: “Volodymyr, can you hit Moscow?”
