An overwhelming 55% of respondents felt Operation Sindoor, India’s response to the Pahalgam terror attack, was strong, while 21% opined that it was weak, according to the India Today-CVoter Mood of the Nation survey. As per the survey, 15% of the respondents felt the response was not adequate and more could have been done to punish Pakistan.
The India Today-Cvoter Mood of the Nation (MOTN) poll was conducted between July 1 and August 14, 2025, surveying 54,788 individuals. An additional 1,52,038 interviews from CVoter’s regular tracker data were also analysed. Thus, the opinion of a total of 2,06,826 respondents was considered for this MOTN report.
