A majority of respondents in the India Today-CVoter Mood of the Nation (MOTN) survey believe that the Election Commission’s Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Bihar’s voter rolls is being carried out to safeguard the electoral process. The survey found that 58% of respondents said the revision is meant to ensure only citizens vote. However, 17% felt it was designed to help the ruling party, while 12% viewed the timing of the exercise as suspicious.
