Modi Yunus Meet | Yunus Aide’s Comment On Hasina Extradition Inaccurate, Politically Driven: Sources
A comment on Facebook by Shafiqul Alam, the Press Secretary to the Chief Advisor of the Interim Government of Bangladesh, Md Yunus has led to off record rebuttals from sources in India. The post describes certain points of conversation between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Advisor of the Interim Government of Bangladesh during the meeting that took place on Friday in Bangkok on the sidelines of the BIMSTEC summit which both leaders attended. The Press Secretary in a social media post quoted Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the topic of the extradition of former Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina. Sources familiar with the meeting describe the comments attributed to PM Modi by the Shafiqul Alam are “inaccurate” and “mischievous”.
