On the sidelines of the SCO summit in Tianjin, India’s Prime Minister met with Chinese President Xi Jinping, their second meeting in less than a year. The leaders positively noted the progress in bilateral relations since their last meeting in Kazan, especially the successful disengagement along the border last year. A key consensus was that their common interests outweigh differences, and these "differences should not be allowed to be turned into disputes." Discussions also covered balancing bilateral trade, cooperation on trans-border rivers, and counter-terrorism efforts. The Prime Minister also met with Myanmar’s Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, discussing connectivity and security, and welcomed the announcement of elections. Furthermore, the Prime Minister invited President Xi to the BRICS summit that India will host in 2026. #scosummit #indiachina #modiximeet #itwebvideos #tianjin #borderpeace #bilateraltalks #diplomacy #foreignpolicy #indiamyanmar #acteastpolicy #neighbourhoodfirst #brics #asiancentury #worldnews #geopolitics
