Citing a recent survey showing a 12% lead for the DMK alliance, Stalin asserted that the state achieved a double-digit economic growth of 11.19% last year, a feat last seen 16 years ago under DMK rule. He detailed various welfare initiatives, including the ‘Vidiyal Payanam’ free bus scheme, ‘Pudhumai Penn’, and the UN-recognised ‘Makkalai Thedi Maruthuvam’ healthcare program. Stalin criticized the Union Government for providing ‘zero’ in the budget despite the state’s high contribution to the national economy, noting that Tamil Nadu’s per capita income is 1.74 times the national average. He dismissed the BJP’s ‘double engine’ rhetoric as an ’empty vessel’ and expressed confidence that the people would return the DMK to power to continue the ‘Dravidian Model 2.0’ journey.
