Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin today admitted that the man accused of sexually assaulting a student on Anna University campus is a Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) supporter, however he also clarified to the assembly that the accused is not a member of his party.
The question was in response to a special call attention motion moved by various members of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly, including leader of opposition Edappadi K Palaniswami in the House. In the last few days, opposition AIDMK has repeatedly raised the sexual assault case from Anna University in the state assembly, and claimed they do not trust the dMK to solve it as the party is keen on protecting someone.
