As the West Asia conflict enters its 24th day, Gulf nations find themselves increasingly drawn into the war between Iran and the Israeli-US alliance. The UAE Defence Ministry reports intercepting 345 ballistic missiles and 1,773 Iranian drones, with Iranian attacks killing six civilians so far. Iran has targeted US-linked bases in the region used to launch strikes against it. Saudi Arabia came under fresh attack with Iran firing three missiles towards Riyadh, one intercepted while two struck uninhabited areas. In response, Saudi Arabia has escalated diplomatically, issuing an ultimatum to Iranian military attachés and envoys to leave the country within 24 hours. Meanwhile, Israel continues its operations in Lebanon, with the IDF bombing the Qasamia bridge on the coastal highway connecting Beirut to southern Lebanon on Sunday afternoon, cutting off supply lines to Hezbollah. The attacks followed Iran’s Saturday strikes on Israeli nuclear sites and Arad city, after which Israel’s defence minister ordered the IDF to expand operations against Hezbollah in South Lebanon.
