The Ministry of Home Affairs has granted approval to the Enforcement Directorate to prosecute former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in the alleged money laundering case related to the excise policy. This development comes ahead of the Delhi elections. The ED had previously filed multiple charge sheets naming Kejriwal as the key conspirator. The Supreme Court had mandated prior prosecution sanction for public servants in such cases.
