Large protests against the Trump administration have erupted in cities across the United States, marking the third iteration of ‘No Kings’ rallies that have previously drawn millions. Thousands took to the streets with a unified message opposing the potential war with Iran, immigration enforcement, and aggressive Immigration and Customs Enforcement operations. Protesters carried signs, chanted slogans, and blocked streets in some locations, calling the Trump agenda authoritarian. One protester stated, ‘Everything is getting worse. The fact that we’re drawn into an illegal war while the cost of living is just skyrocketing, it just seems like a slap in the face of the American people.’ Another said, ‘We are a nation that has been at war long enough. It is time for peace.’ In Minnesota, rock legend Bruce Springsteen performed at the main rally at the state capitol. In some cities, demonstrations brought traffic to a standstill, leading to conflict with police.
