The development brings temporary relief to investors, with markets expected to respond positively in the short term. India Today’s Shailendra Bhatnagar noted that while this provides a ‘sigh of relief to troubled investors’, caution remains as Trump’s policy reversals are well-known in trading circles. He pointed out that Nifty, Bank Nifty and Sensex have been among the worst-performing indices globally year-to-date, down 14-15 percent. Bhatnagar expressed hope that the worst may be behind investors, with expectations that Diwali 2026 will be better than March 2026. An analyst observed that Iran’s retaliatory capability has been significantly reduced despite managing to launch some drones and missiles, describing the conflict as highly uneven.
