Maratha Quota Showdown: Manoj Jarange Patil Defiant, Vows Not To Leave Mumbai

The showdown over Maratha reservation continues in Mumbai, with protest leader Manoj Jarange Patil remaining defiant against a police notice to vacate Azad Maidan. Patil has stated he is on a fast and will not leave the city until the demands for OBC reservation for the Maratha community are met. He declared, "We will not leave Mumbai till all our demands are met." The notice from the Mumbai Police was issued after the Bombay High Court noted violations of protest conditions, including exceeding the permitted number of people and duration. While urging his followers to remain peaceful and use public transport, thousands of protestors remain at Azad Maidan, raising questions about the next course of action by the authorities as a court hearing on the matter is awaited.
