Manu Bhaker, who became the first Indian to win back-to-back medals in one edition of the Olympics when she achieved the feat at the Paris Olympics 2024, has opened up on the techniques she uses to keep her mind calm and, in a candid admission during the Republic SportsFit podcast, revealed that she enjoys solving puzzles – even if that is during shooting matches!
Manu Bhaker said that, when she has some down time, she enjoys solving puzzles – and she has in fact posted herself solving them on social media. One of the reasons for that, she says, is that it keeps her mind calm and clear. This is because she said that when you are focusing on the puzzle, then you are only focusing on that and your mind gets cleared.
But in an amazing moment, she said that she sometimes takes to solving puzzles even in the middle of her shooting matches. She does this to ensure that her focus isn’t on the bad moments of her match and she keeps coming back to the puzzles whenever possible as it helps her to keep a clear mind.
