A shocking incident has come to light from Kankari Bodigama village in the Kalinjara police station area of Banswara district, where a middle-aged man was kidnapped and severely assaulted over a land dispute. The incident took place on November 11, and after the video went viral on social media, police action intensified.
According to the complaint filed by the victim, Thaneshwar, son of Nathu Bhil, he was at home when the accused arrived armed with stones, sticks, and sharp weapons. They verbally abused him, drove a tractor into his field, and when he tried to stop them, they beat him and forcibly took him to the house of his cousin sister. There, his hands were tied with a rope, and he was brutally thrashed.
The victim said the accused also snatched his mobile phone and ₹2,000. He was tortured for nearly an hour. During this time, someone informed the police, after which the Kalinjara police reached the spot and rescued Thaneshwar from the custody of the accused. A case has been registered against nine people, including the cousin sister Sharmila and Mahipal.
