An opposition leader speaking in Parliament demanded a time-bound inquiry into what he termed grave security and intelligence lapses. Citing the Kargil Review Committee, which was formed after the Kargil war and headed by K. Subrahmanyam, he called for a similar review to establish accountability. The speaker accused the current government of blaming the Congress party for all its failures and criticized the Prime Minister for not participating in debates. He cautioned against deifying political leaders with a quote, “Bhakti in religion it may salt to this soul. Aur bhakti in politics wo dictatorship K taraf jaata hai” (Devotion in religion may be a path to salvation for the soul, but devotion in politics leads to dictatorship). He stated that while the opposition offered unconditional support to the government on national security, his party and its leaders were being slandered on government channels. #parliamentdebate #nationalsecurity #securitylapse #itwebvideos #intelligencefailure #kargil #opposition #indianpolitics #democracy #dictatorship #rajyasabha #freedomofspeech #accountability #govtofindia #indianparliament
