The Mahayuti alliance has finalised its seat-sharing formula for the upcoming Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will contest 137 seats, while the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena will fight on 90 seats. The deal was announced by Mumbai BJP President Amit Satam just a day before the nomination deadline. Meanwhile, the Ajit Pawar-led NCP has decided to contest the polls separately, announcing 64 candidates so far.
