The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Friday announced dates for assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir and Haryana. However, the poll body did not declare dates for the Maharashtra assembly polls, which had been held along with elections in Haryana the last time around.
For this, the Election Commission cited several reasons, including weather and security requirements for the Jammu and Kashmir elections.
