Maharashtra Minister Dhananjay Munde has resigned after his close aide was arrested for the murder of a Sarpanch in Beed district. The victim, Santosh Deshmukh, was brutally beaten and killed. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis accepted Munde’s resignation. The CID has filed a charge sheet in the case. Six accused, including Munde’s aide Valmik Karad, have been arrested in connection with the murder.
