First, union home minister Amit Shah has warned against rebel leaders, sources disclosed today. Mr Shah chaired a Mahayuti meeting in the national capital today, and sources suggest there was conversation about controlling potential rebel leaders ahead of the election. Another key revelation is that Mr Shah will be keeping his eye on the situation in Maharashtra. Notably, both state parties, NCP and Shiv Sena factions in Mahayuti were formed after rebelling from their original parties. Amit Shah has reportedly instructed the parties that no rebels should get a ticket, according to sources. The meeting was attended by Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde, NCP’s Ajit Pawar, and Devendra Fadnavis.
Second, The clock symbol of the Nationalist Congress Party will stay with Ajit Pawar, the Supreme Court said today in a setback for veteran leader Sharad Pawar ahead of the Maharashtra assembly election.
