Following the stampede at Prayagraj Kumbh Mela that resulted in 30 fatalities, the administration has implemented new crowd control measures. All 30 pontoon bridges have been opened to facilitate free movement of pilgrims. The Mela area will be non-vehicular on main bathing days. Devotees are not permitted to stay at ghats after bathing. Additional officers and personnel have been deployed for effective crowd management.
