Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister, Eknath Shinde, had his official X account compromised by hackers. The unidentified individuals posted images of the national flags of Pakistan and Turkey on the account, which has a following of 1.1 million. The breach lasted for approximately 45 minutes before the account was successfully restored by the social media team. The incident prompted an immediate response, with the matter being reported to the cybercrime police, who have now launched a probe to identify the perpetrators. A reporter on the broadcast stated, "it seems to be some hacking which has been done from outside the country, and hence Pakistani or Turkish flags were likely to be put on his ex-account." This has raised concerns about the cybersecurity of political leaders.
