Democratic Republic of Congo President Felix Tshisekedi threatened to organize a reaction to regain the area lost by M23 rebels, who conquered the eastern city of Goma earlier this week. In a televised speech, Tshisekedi accused Rwanda of supporting the M23 insurrection, which he termed as a "terrorist enterprise." This comes after rebels captured the airport in Goma, east Congo’s major city, on Tuesday, potentially cutting off the primary conduit for relief to hundreds of thousands of displaced people, following an attack that left dead corpses in the streets. M23 fighters marched into Goma on Monday, marking the worst escalation since 2012.
