Amidst an LPG shortage, the tanker Shivalik has docked at Mundra port carrying over 45,000 megatons of LPG. Another LPG tanker, Nanda Devi, is expected to arrive at Kanla port tomorrow, while the crude oil tanker Jag Ladki will dock at Mundra port tomorrow. This means three Indian oil tankers have successfully navigated through the Strait of Hormuz despite ongoing conflict in the region. Indian authorities remain in contact with Iranian authorities to secure safe passage for approximately 20 remaining ships. Around 600 Indian sailors are on board these vessels, which have been advised to align along the Iranian coastline in the Persian Gulf. The successful passage of these tankers follows diplomatic efforts between India and Iran to ensure safe transit through the strategic waterway during the ongoing regional tensions.
