Voting in the newly reconfigured Anantnag-Rajouri seat in the final round of vote for Jammu and Kashmir continued to be rapid, following the patterns of the two other Kashmiri constituencies, Srinagar and Baramulla.
The previous Anantnag seat saw a pitiful 8.9 percent of voters turn out for the 2019 parliamentary elections. However, by 5 p.m., polling percentages had above 51% since the constituency’s limits stretched across the Pir Panjal to encompass Jammu’s Rajouri and Poonch.
