LIVE: ‘Will Free Chattisgarh From Red Terror,’ Says Home Minister Amit Shah
In a powerful address, Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah slammed those who backed "Red Terror" for blocking development in the region for decades. He highlighted transformative progress: schools and hospitals rebuilt, new roads constructed, rail connectivity on the way, and a major Government of India scheme set to irrigate 7 lakh hectares of land.
Shri Shah exposed how thousands of tribal children suffered under Naxal violence, countering propaganda that accuses the government of aggression. "We don’t want to fire bullets—if Naxalites lay down arms, they’ll be welcomed with a red carpet," he asserted. Appealing directly to young women in the Maoist ranks, he urged them to surrender for a brighter future.
