Two special flights carrying Indian deportees from the USA are scheduled to land in Amritsar. The first flight on 15th February will bring 119 passengers, including 67 from Punjab and 33 from Haryana. A second flight is expected on 16th February. The landings have sparked political controversy. Prime Minister Modi addressed the issue of illegal immigration, emphasising the need to combat human trafficking and the ecosystem that exploits vulnerable individuals.
