The strikes came hours after Afghan troops fired on Pakistani border personnel—an action the Taliban called retaliation for prior deadly Pakistani attacks. Information Minister Attaullah Tarar confirmed the "befitting response" on X, while Asif warned on the platform: "Our patience has reached its limit. Now it is open war between you and us." Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid acknowledged the bombings but reported no casualties, as clashes escalate along the volatile border.
