A woman from Bihar, Minta Devi, has publicly criticized the Gandhi family and other Opposition leaders for using her name and photo in their protests against alleged "vote chori" (vote theft). Minta Devi’s name became a focal point of the Opposition’s protest after she was mistakenly listed as a 124-year-old first-time voter in the draft electoral rolls for Bihar. Opposition MPs wore t-shirts with "124 NOT OUT" and her photo on them to highlight alleged irregularities in the Election Commission’s Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter lists. However, Minta Devi, who is actually 35, has stated that she does not know the protesting leaders and questioned their right to use her image without permission. She has also demanded that the government give her an old-age pension if they truly believe her listed age is correct.
