The Supreme Court on Wednesday said that timelines cannot be set for Governors, and by extension the President, to act on Bills passed by legislatures. However, the Supreme Court also warned that any prolonged inaction could invite judicial review limited to the extent of the courts asking Governors to decide within a "reasonable time period".
