LIVE: Malaysia Defies Pak’s Plea To Block India’s Op Sindoor Events, Avoids Islamic Nation Card
On June 4, 2025, sources revealed to India Today TV that Pakistan’s embassy in Kuala Lumpur played the religion card, urging Malaysian officials to cancel all 10 programmes led by India’s Sanjay Jha delegation, pleading, “We are an Islamic country, you are an Islamic country… don’t listen to the Indian delegation.” Malaysia, however, stood firm, dismissing Pakistan’s request and citing the “Kashmir matter in the UN,” while welcoming India’s delegation to discuss Operation Sindoor’s precision strikes against terror hubs. Launched on May 7 in response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 civilians, Operation Sindoor targeted nine terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, showcasing India’s zero-tolerance stance on terrorism.
