The Uttar Pradesh government has taken bulldozer action against a cleric accused of running a large-scale conversion racket in Balrampur. Authorities have demolished an allegedly illegal mansion belonging to the accused, known as Jhangur Baba. The cleric is charged with luring around 40 girls to convert to Islam and receiving foreign funding of up to 100 crore rupees for the conversion racket.
